When we rolled out the new mass communication feature, I was surprised at how many users simply acknowledged it and moved on during the demos. In my opinion this feature is a game-changer for managing partnerships at scale, and it deserves a closer look. In this article, I’ll explain how it works, how to use it, and the results you can expect.

What is the "mass communication" feature, and how does it benefit my partnerships?

The mass communication tool allows you to send targeted messages to your partners, streamlining communication and improving collaboration. Before using it, you’ll need to enable the module. Head to General Settings > Modules, and turn it on. Once activated, you’ll notice checkboxes next to each partner in your list.

The beauty of this feature lies in its flexibility. You can filter your partners based on specific criteria—such as location (e.g., partners in Poland) or partnership type (e.g., integration partners)—and send messages to selected groups. After filtering, mass select your partners, and click the “Send Message” button at the top of your screen.

From there, you can compose your message, add a title, main text, and even attach files from your file repository (if that module is also enabled). You can also target your message to specific roles, ensuring the right people see it.

Note: Depending on your platform's settings, your partners can receive a notification on their timeline or via email.

Here’s a bonus: you don’t even need to know their email addresses! By choosing roles instead of specific individuals, you can manage hundreds of partnerships effortlessly without worrying about maintaining individual contact details.

How can I use "mass communication" feature to manage my partnerships?

The potential for this feature is huge! Here are some practical ways you can leverage it:

1. Inform your partners about local events

Planning a meetup in Warsaw or hosting a webinar? Simply filter out the relevant partners, draft your invitation, and hit send. You can even add images or links to make your invites stand out!

2. Send partner surveys

Need feedback? Use mass communication to send surveys. Whether you want input on training topics, event participation, or quarterly satisfaction surveys, just include a link in your message and gather responses quickly.

3. Share big news

Rolling out a new commission structure? Launching Market Development Funds? Or maybe your company just secured funding? Rather than manually reaching out to each partner, send a mass message with all the details in one go.

4. Announce new releases

Partners should always be in the loop when it comes to software updates, new features, or pricing changes. You don’t have to notify everyone; target only relevant roles, like developers or partnership managers, for more efficient communication.

5. Distribute valuable resources

Make sure your partners are equipped with the right materials—battlecards, developer docs, case studies, and more. Use mass communication to highlight existing resources or share new ones. You can even draw attention to underused files that could benefit your partners.

6. Notify partners when you’re on holiday

Taking time off? Use the mass communication feature to inform your partners of your absence, how long you’ll be gone, and who their main contact will be in the meantime.

7. Run polls

Want to gather partner input on a new feature or event date? Send out a poll! Use free tools like Doodle to collect responses, making it easy for partners to participate.

8. Coordinate with marketing teams

If you’re working on co-marketing activities, the mass communication feature allows you to reach out to marketing teams directly. Tailor your messages to the right roles for effective collaboration.

9. Promote tech training sessions

Help your partners’ development teams stay up to speed by inviting them to tech training sessions. With our module, you can send the details directly to the developers in your network.

10. Send termination messages

When a partner has been inactive for a long time, it might be time to say goodbye. Use the mass communication feature to filter out inactive partners and send them a message informing them of their account termination. You can even offer them one last chance to reactivate before removing them from your list.

The power of simplified communication

With Partnerplace’s mass communication feature, the possibilities are endless. Whether you’re managing hundreds of partners or just a handful, this tool makes it easy to stay connected, share updates, and foster strong relationships—all while saving time and effort.
